Leather chair - Ornament The design classic is back. Original replica of the 1938 in Argentina designed Hardoy chair, B.K.F. chair or butterfly chair. This armchair gained cult status in the 40s and 50s of the last century and even made it into the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art - New York) as THE classic design armchair. This comfortable and sturdy chair are known from many Hollywood movies of this time.
Our completely handmade replicas were made of thick cowhide, accordingly for higher durability and modern requirements, double stitched, glued and reinforced at critical points. The robust steel base frame can be disassembled for easier transport.
We offer the original copy, as well as the design appropriate, but still higher comfort bidding, new version with head rest.
Different from the original these chairs were decorated with wonderful ornaments and thus offer an even higher eyecatcher.
The beautiful hand-painted motifs were pressed by hand into the leather. Whereby per chair up to sixteen different pressing operations are needed.
Therefore each piece is unique.
